Trauma Counseling
Heal from Within
A Deeper Look
Trauma can change the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Whether your experiences stem from childhood, a single distressing event, unhealthy relationships, chronic stress, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe or unseen, trauma can continue to affect daily life long after the event has passed. Many people find themselves struggling with anxiety, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, or feeling as though they are constantly "on edge" without fully understanding why. Healing from trauma is not about forgetting what happened, it is about understanding how those experiences have shaped you and learning new ways to respond to the present rather than remaining stuck in the past. Together, we will explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable, while building practical skills to help regulate emotions, strengthen your nervous system, and increase your sense of safety and self-trust. My approach to trauma therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?" I believe it is more helpful to ask, "What happened to you?" We will work to understand the ways your experiences have influenced your beliefs, relationships, and emotional responses while recognizing the resilience that has helped you survive difficult circumstances. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, attachment-based interventions, and nervous system-informed techniques, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. My hope is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing with greater confidence, self-compassion, and resilience.
